Jadhav will also direct the Hindi remake, making it his first in the language. Choricha Mamla is one of the few Marathi films to get a Hindi remake and probably the only Marathi film to get an official remake in five languages. Recently, director Vishal Furia had also announced the Hindi remake of his Marathi horror film Lapachappi (2017).
In his Facebook post, Jadhav also claimed that the remakes of Choricha Mamla have fetched the "biggest ever remake price sold in Marathi films ever".
Along with the remakes, Jadhav revealed a sequel to the original film was in the works. While speaking to ETimes, an entertainment portal of The Times of India newspaper group, Jadhav confirmed, "We are working on the script of Choricha Mamla 2. The sequel will have the same star cast from the original film."
