Music director, composer and singer Vipin Patwa has released a bhajan as a tribute to his late father, Ramesh Patwa, who passed away recently.
Titled 'Pukara', the hymn, written by Dr Sagar and composed and sung by Vipin, has been released under the banner Navya Bhakti.
Talking about his composition, he said, “Death is a universal truth, and it’s a celebration to meet God, if you wish. My father was very fond of listening to bhajans, and Pukara is a religious song, so he would keep listening to it in his last days. People, as they age, seem to incline more towards God. Father would ask for the song to be played whenever he felt like listening to it. He breathed his last on September 3. So I want to dedicate this song to my father in the most beautiful way possible by sharing it with the universe.”
Vipin has studied Indian classical music and has composed songs for films such as Daas Dev (2018), Housefull 4 (2019) and De De Pyaar De (2019). He has recently made a foray into independent music. Some of his upcoming work will be heard in The Girl On The Train (2020) and Nikamma (2020).
