Shubhankar Tawde to play lead role in Marathi movie Dil Dosti Duniyadari

Actor Shubhankar Tawde, who made his silver screen debut with the Marathi movie Kaagar (2019), will be seen in an interesting role in his upcoming movie Dil Dosti Duniyadari. The romantic comedy thriller film went on the floors last week.
Talking about his character, Tawde says, “I will be essaying the character Tarun, a poet, singer and guitarist. He aims to become a rockstar. He wants to become a famous stage performer.”
His character also has another interesting side, which the audience will get to see in the film.
Tawde also spoke about the beginning the project in the new normal. “This is my first project after lockdown. We are mentally prepared for all the changes. It won’t be easy as before. There will be a lower number of people on the set. However, we will make sure that the audience won’t see any compromises due to the COVID-19 situation and they will enjoy the movie.”
Dil Dosti Duniyadari will be helmed by Telugu filmmaker Bhaskar Ramagupta, who is making his directorial debut in the Marathi film industry with this project. The makers are simultaneously shooting a Telugu version of the film titled Dil Dosti Dhoka with a different cast.
The film also stars Akshay Tanksale, who will be playing the role of a villain.
