Tara Sutaria has been cast as the leading lady opposite Tiger Shroff in the sequel to his debut film, Heropanti (2014). The actress shared the news on Instagram.
“Reunited with my favorites! Thank you Sajid sir for believing in me. Heropanti 2, here we go. Can't think of a better way to kickstart my birthday month,” Sutaria wrote on Instagram. “So amped for this one. A new journey begins with my NGE family,” she added.
Heropanti 2 will be helmed by Ahmed Khan, who earlier directed Shroff in Baaghi 2 (2018) and Baaghi 3 (2020).
Heropanti, which was a remake of the Telugu film Parugu (2008), marked the debut of Tiger Shroff in Hindi cinema. The film was a success at the box office.
Heropanti 2 will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala who had also bankrolled the first film.
Sutaria made her acting debut opposite Shroff in the Dharma Productions dud Student Of The Year 2 (2019).
Apart from Heropanti 2, Sutaria will be seen in Milan Luthria’s Tadap, a remake of the Telugu hit RX 100 (2018), and will launch Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan. The actress has also been cast in the sequel to Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain (2014), titled Do Villain.
