Aashram Chapter 2 trailer: The world of Bobby Deol's Baba Nirala gets more sinister

Prakash Jha's ambitious web-series Aashram, about the cult of 'god-man' Baba Nirala (Bobby Deol), politics and crime ended abruptly in August, leaving many questions unanswered. The latest trailer for Ashram Chapter 2 suggests that many of those questions will be answered in the second season.

In the new trailer, we see the baba’s influence expand beyond his region. He has followers in over 50 constituencies, making him a powerful political figure. We also see glimpses of how he keeps his followers hooked to drugs, unbeknown to them. We also see suspended police inspector Ujagar Singh (Darshan Kumaar) and Dr Natasha (Anupriya Goenka) in disguise continuing their investigation of the baba's murky business.

The second season may reveal all those dark secrets of Aashram that were hinted at in the first. The trailer also indicates that the power-hungry Baba Nirala will get more sinister and not hesitate to stab his friends in the back in his insatiable greed for power.

The web-series also stars Aaditi Pohankar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Adhyayan Suman and Tridha Choudhury. Aashram Chapter 2: The Dark Side will be streamed on MX PLayer from 11 November. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the series.
