Priyanka Chopra Jonas joins Sam Heughan, Celine Dion in romance Text For You

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has added yet another Hollywood project to her already full line-up. The actress joins actor Sam Heughan and singer Celine Dion in the upcoming romance Text For You, directed by Jim Strouse and produced by Thunder Road.

According to an exclusive report on Deadline.com, the drama, co-written by Strouse and Lauryn Kahn, is based on the German film SMS Fur Dich (2016), an adaptation of author Sofie Cramer’s novel. The film revolved around a woman who sends texts to her late fiancé’s phone number.

The messages are received by a man in the same town who now has the number and is also dealing with heartbreak. The couple meet and have a connection. However, they are both still hung up over the past to move forward.

The Deadline.com report stated that the remake focuses on how “the music and influence of Dion gives them the courage to take a chance on love again”.

Chopra Jonas will be paired with Heughan, who is known as Jamie Fraser in the Starz TV series Outlander. The actress, who will next be seen in Ramin Bahrani’s adaptation of The White Tiger on Netflix, is also starring in The Matrix 4, Russo Brothers’ Citadel, and Robert Rodriguez’s We Can Be Heroes.
