The trailer of Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari (2020) revealed that Manoj Bajpayee's character is a private detective who specializes in spying on men and tipping off their potential brides' family about their wrongdoings. Now we see Bajpayee's character in action in the song 'Basanti', the video of which also features Karishma Tanna and Abhishek Banerjee.
A portly Bajpayee, who sports a moustache and matches the steps of a sizzling Tanna, is unrecognizable. The image of Bajpayee shaking a leg without a care in the work harkens back to his iconic dance in Satya (1998).
Payal Dev leads the peppy track with her energetic singing with the able support of Danish Sabri who plays second fiddle vocally. Javed-Moshin's composition serves its purpose. More than the melody, it's the catchy beat that contributes to the song's replay value, which has all the ingredients to become a chartbuster.
Helmed by Abhishek Sharma, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is a lighthearted family entertainer releasing this Diwali starring Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
