Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Elnaaz Norouzi have been cast together in writer-director Jaideep Chopra's Sangeen (2021). The two have previously worked together on the Netflix web-series Sacred Games.
Shooting for the upcoming feature film will take place in London, England and Mumbai in January 2021.

Norouzi, who was last seen in the web-series Abhay, said the film’s script was incredible. “[It’s] a role I’ve always secretly dreamt of essaying as an actor. I am looking forward to bringing that complex character to life with Jaideep sir who has written it so skilfully,” she said.
Chopra, who has also written the screenplay, was thrilled with the casting. “[Nawazuddin] is an actor par excellence and I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving than him to bring a sense of authenticity to my film. Elnaaz Norouzi has an innate creative acumen and this film will showcase her in a brand-new light within the cinematic ecosphere,” Chopra said.
Singer-songwriter-rapper Raftaar will score the music for the film; he previously worked on Manto (2018), also starring Siddiqui. “I’m excited to be curating the complete musical score of a film for the very first time and can’t wait to ensure a rollercoaster ride,” he said.
Sangeen is produced by Gurjit Singh of Golden Era Films and Ankit Khanna of AK Projekts. The film's release date is yet to be announced.
