The 14th February And Beyond review: The dark, ugly side of love and affection

The documentary film, just under an hour, looks into the consumerism and commerciality of Valentine’s Day and its impact on the mental health on a young generation and on society in general.

Filmmaker Utpal Kalal was elated to see The 14th February And Beyond travel to festivals around the world. “It’s absolutely encouraging to witness my debut documentary travelling to national and international festivals this persistently... being nominated, winning and reviewed at the same time,” he said.

“As a filmmaker, when I think of the storytelling, I have always believed in my vision of touching the topics that are untold yet vital for our society. I am very happy and grateful for the love this film is receiving. I wish that the film gets a chance to be released on some strong OTT platform so that it can reach the masses and ignite a conversation about this subject,” Kalal added.
