Coronavirus update: Hrithik Roshan's mother Pinkie Roshan tests positive for COVID-19

Actor Hrithik Roshan’s mother Pinkie Roshan, who turned 67 today, has tested positive for COVID-19 and has currently placed herself under quarantine at home. 

Her husband Rakesh Roshan confirmed reports that his wife had tested positive to the news agency Press Trust Of India (PTI). "Yes, it's true. There are no symptoms and she is undergoing a home quarantine," he said.

Pinkie also opened up about her health to Etimes, a Times of India Group property that covers entertainment and celebrity news, on Thursday. "Every 20 days or so, we have been getting everyone checked as a precaution. This includes all our family members and the staff. This time, about a week ago, I tested COVID-19 positive borderline. I have no symptoms and my doctors told me that my yoga and exercise regime has helped in a big way to keep this in control; however, it meant that I have had the virus in me for 15 days. I am expected to undergo another test tomorrow and let's hope it will be negative," she said.

Meanwhile, Pinkie took to Instagram to share a photo of a surprise organized by her family on her special day. The photo shows a huge cut-out of the letter P made of flowers and ornamented with balloons. "My family brings in my birthday with this surprise at my door," she captioned the image.
