Short video of Jr NTR as revolutionary Komaram Bheem unveiled

Featuring a voiceover by Ram Charan, the teaser describes Jr NTR’s character as someone that can silence the ocean and make any government bow down before him.

Actor Ram Charan on Thursday unveiled a short video that introduces viewers to Jr NTR’s character from SS Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus RRR.

The clip, released on the 119th birth anniversary of the revolutionary Komaram Bheem, after whom Jr NTR's character is modelled in the film, sees the muscular actor as nothing less than a force of nature.

Featuring voiceover of Ram Charan, the teaser, which oozes epicness, describes Jr NTR’s character as someone that can silence the ocean and make any government bow down before him.

The actor has undergone a physical transformation for the mega-project and the visuals do complete justice to his new avatar.

A video was to be unveiled on 20 May on the occasion of Jr NTR's birthday. However, the makers clarified that they couldn’t complete work on the video they had planned to release on the special occasion due to the lockdown.

“As the lockdown gets extended time and again, work has come to a dead stop. And though we tried our best, we couldn’t finish work on a glimpse of NTR to give you all a treat on his birthday. And so, we will not be releasing either a first look or a video on the occasion [sic],” read a statement from the makers.

RRR is being made on a budget of Rs450 crore. The film is a fictional story where Jr NTR and Ram Charan play brothers in the modern-day portion of the film and will be seen as freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju in a flashback.

Alia Bhatt, who plays the female lead, will join the sets in November. The rest of the cast, including Ajay Devgn and Olivia Morris, will participate in the upcoming shoots, the details of which will be unveiled soon.
