Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is a love story about a cross-functional athlete, played by Khurrana who has undergone a physical transformation to play the character.
Speaking about the film and his association with the director, Khurrana told the Bombay Times supplement of The Times of India newspaper earlier this year, “Abhishek has a distinct voice in cinema today, and I’m glad that we finally got the opportunity to work together on a project that’s close to my heart. This beautiful love story will take viewers on an emotional roller-coaster ride and it is a total family entertainer.”
Abhishek’s wife Pragya is the co-producer of the film. On teaming up with Kumar, she had said in August, “Bhushan ji and Abhishek have always wanted to work together and we are starting that journey with this wonderful love story. It has a beautiful soundtrack, very different from what Abhishek has done before. Bhushan ji has been very encouraging and we are committed to delivering high-quality content together.”
