Actor Sanjay Dutt, who was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer in August this year, revealed on Wednesday that he has defeated the illness.
In a note on Twitter, Dutt said, “The last few weeks were very difficult times for my family and me. But like they say, God gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. And today, on the occasion of my kids’ [twins Shahraan and Iqra] birthday, I am happy to come out victorious from this battle and be able to give them the best I can – the health and well-being of our family [sic].”
My heart is filled with gratitude as I share this news with all of you today. Thank you 🙏🏻 pic.twitter.com/81sGvWWpoe

Dutt specifically thanked Dr Sewanti and her team of doctors, nurses and medical staff from Mumbai’s Kokilaben Ambani Hospital for taking care of him.
Dutt had resumed shooting Yash Raj Films’ Shamshera in September this year. He will also be seen in KGF Chapter 2 where he will be playing the villainous Adheera.
