The final line-up of films for the upcoming Indic Film Utsav has been decided and registrations are open now.

The online global film festival, being held from 12–15 November, can be watched from home anywhere in the world. By registering online here, audiences will receive festival newsletters with updates on festival screenings and panel discussions, as well as access to special events like Opening Night and Closing Night. Admission is free for the four-day festival.

The line-up includes 10 features films, 10 documentaries, 12 short films and 20 ultrashort films in the main competition category. In addition, six short films and 10 other ultrashort films will compete in the Children’s Films category, while 10 more short films have been selected for the Wildlife and Environment category.

In the non-competitive category, two feature films and two documentaries will be shown. The highlights of the festival are the Opening and Closing Night films. The festival has also set up cash prizes in each of the competitive categories.

“It has been a hugely rewarding experience for us here in the programming team to be able to view and select these fine films from about 850+ submissions,” Nikita Hattangady, head of programming at Indica Pictures, said. “We are confident you will find the line-up both insightful and enjoyable. To go with these great films, a diverse jury board is being formed consisting of not only film critics, journalists and film school academics, but also exponents of performing arts, directors, writers and actors.

“Audience members will also have the opportunity to vote for the films they like and help select films for the Audience Choice awards in all categories,” she added.
