Sai Tamhankar bags Most Natural Performer of Year trophy at Zee Talkies Comedy Awards

Actress Sai Tamhankar, who is known for her versatility, has bagged the Most Natural Performer of the Year Award at the Zee Talkies Comedy Awards.

Tamhankar won the award for her performance in Upendra Sidhaye's romantic comedy Girlfriend (2019).

Thanking Zee Talkies, the actress said, "It doesn't matter how many years you are working in the film industry, whenever you win an award it's always a special feeling. It encourages you to work even harder. I would also like to thank my director Upendra Sidhaye for giving me the special role of Payal Mehta. We have become really good friends."

Because of COVID-19, Zee Talkies didn't host a big award ceremony. "Receiving your award on stage in the presence of many stalwarts of the industry is a proud moment for any actor but unfortunately, because of COVID-19, there was no big award ceremony. I'm really missing award functions," said Tamhankar.
