Actor Ranveer Singh and director Rohit Shetty have joined hands once again for a comedy titled Cirkus. This time, Shetty will be adapting Shakespeare’s classic comedy The Comedy Of Errors. The duo last worked together on Simmba (2018).
Cirkus also stars Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Siddharth Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar and Murli Sharma.
The film will be going on floors next month in Mumbai, Ooty and Goa and is set to be released in the winter of 2021. Presented by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, Cirkus is being produced by Reliance Entertainment and Shetty himself.
The Comedy Of Errors is based on a set of twins who get separated at birth. They meet years later and what ensues, as the name of the play suggests, is a comedy of errors.
Apart from Cirkus and Simmba, Shetty and Singh have also collaborated for the Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi but in that film, the actor will only have a guest appearance. His character Simmba along with Ajay Devgn’s Singham will be seen for a short while. Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi form a part of Shetty’s cinematic universe revolving around policemen.
The makers have shared a picture of Shetty, Singh, Bhushan and Reliance’s Shibasish Sarkar.
