Prakash Jha’s debut web-series Aashram hit the small screens earlier this year on the free OTT platform MX Player. It also marked the web-series debut of actor Bobby Deol.
The team is now set to return with the second season of the show on 11 November, which is titled Aashram Chapter 2: The Dark Side.
The news was shared by Bobby Deol on Twitter with a motion title poster of the show. He captioned it (translated), “The doors of Aashram are being opened once again.” He also mentioned 'Japnaam', the way the people of the ashram greet one another and Deol’s character Baba Nirala.

The actor’s tweet also revealed that the second season would carry forward the characters portrayed by Chandan Roy Sanyal, Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumaar, Anupriya Goenka, Tridha Chaudhary, Tushar Pandey, Vikram Kochhar, Adhyayan Suman and Sachin Shroff in the first one.
The first season of Aashram established the evil character and the world of Baba Nirala and his modus operandi of posing as a messiah of the downtrodden. He lures the siblings played by Pohankar and Pandey to his ashram and gets Pandey married to Chaudhary’s character. The first season ended with Chaudhary getting to know Baba Nirala's truth. Sanyal plays the baba's Man Friday.
