Music composer, singer and lyricist Raajeev V Bhalla and singer Benny Dayal wrote the song 'Jee Le' to cheer people who feel overwhelmed by day-to-day life in the COVID-19 world to not overthink problems and just live in the moment. But they had no idea the impact it would have on other artistes as well as music lovers.
Music composer and singer Salim Merchant, who also made a guest appearance in the song video, heaped praises over the duo for creating this unique electro-funk track that, he said, truly justifies the genre and brings out Benny’s vocal strength beautifully. "The composition is breezy and has been produced very well by Raajeev," said Merchant.
Talking about the reception of the song, Dayal said "I am happy that 'Jee Le' has united the nation during the pandemic and that it has become everyone's go-to song. I receive so many messages that say the same."
Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani, who was also part of the song, said, "I am sending big love to everyone who is connected with this song. 'Jee Le' is a super track! Been stuck in my head since I heard it!"
Bhalla added that they wanted to reach out to people with this song and tell them that they were not alone. He said, "We are all struggling but we can all get through this time if we stay united and focus on the blessings we already have. I feel happy when I hear 'Jee Le' has succeeded in making someone somewhere more joyful and less tense. Isn't that the true purpose of music anyway?"
Apart from Merchant and Dadlani, the duo also acknowledged the unstinting support of Shalmali Kholgade, Armaan Malik, Aditya Narayan, Jonita Gandhi, Shilpa Rao, Aditi Singh Sharma, Divya Kumar, Shruti Pathak, Siddharth Mahadevan, Mihir Joshi, Arunaja, Kamakshi Khanna, Lisa Mishra, Nikita Gandhi, Sangeet/Anusha, Shashwat Singh, Saptak Chatterjee and Shefali Alvarez.
