Ali Fazal has been motivating on and off Mirzapur set, says Harshita Gaur

The character of Golu (Shweta Tripathi Sharma) was against the use of any violence in the first season of Mirzapur. But circumstances forced her to pick up the gun in the second season of the series. 

She is not the only character from the show to have a transformation. Harshita Gaur, who plays Dimpy, the sister of Guddu Bhaiya (Ali Fazal) and the late Bablu Bhaiya (Vikrant Massey), will also have her share of violent scenes in Mirzapur 2. The character was away from the main action in the first reason. 

This season will also focus on her sibling bond with Guddu. Speaking about this aspect, Gaur said in an official statement, “Ali has always been motivating and encouraging, be it on the sets or in real life. He’s super fun, hardworking and someone you’d love to be around. On the sets, he would always pull my leg on things and almost read my mind. We are both Librans and share that Libran connection. We are actually quite thick and share a thick bond.” 

Gaur recently shared a picture of hers on Instagram from a scene in the show where she is beaten up. Ali commented on it, saying, “Man, every time I would see you like that, it breaks my heart. It’s so weird, knowing fully well it’s only make up!! Like full bhai ka khoon khaulne wala vibes. Love you sis. This season is yours baby!! Can’t wait to see you rock this new side of yours [sic].” 

Mirzapur 2 will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 23 October.
