Ranveer Singh's Simmba will now be seen in an animated avatar.
Titled Smaashhing Simmba, the cartoon series will be about a street smart teenage boy aspiring to become a police officer. The cartoon series will be jointly produced by Reliance Animation and Simmba (2018) director Rohit Shetty.

Targeted at kids, Smaashhing Simmba will air on a satellite television channel Pogo from Diwali. The trailer of the series will be released soon.
This is not the first Shetty film that is getting an animated spin-off. Earlier, his superhit action film franchise Singham, the first film of which released in 2011, also had an animated spin-off. Titled Little Singham, the animated series revolved around the character of the same name as the 'youngest super cop of India'. The action-comedy animated series was also made by Reliance Animation.
Meanwhile, Shetty's upcoming film Sooryavanshi has been postponed again. Sooryavanshi is a spin-off of Simmba, which itself was a spin-off of Singham. The Akshay Kumar starter was slated for Diwali release, but according to some reports, the makers have now shifted the release to next year. The film is likely to be released on Republic Day 2021, but there has been no confirmation in this regard yet.
