Boney Kapoor buys remake rights of Malayalam thriller Prathi Poovankozhi

Boney Kapoor has bought the remake rights of the Malayalam thriller Prathi Poovankozhi (2019). The veteran producer has also bought the dubbing rights of the film in all Indian languages except the original. Kapoor hasn’t revealed whether he will be remaking the film in Hindi or in any other language.
Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, Prathi Poovankozhi starred Manju Warrier as a woman determined to take revenge on a goon, played by the director, who molested her on a bus. The film is based on Unni R’s short story Sankadam.
In the recent past, Kapoor bought the remake rights of acclaimed Hindi film Pink (2016). He then produced the Tamil version Nerkonda Paarvai (2019). Kapoor is also producing a Telugu remake, Vakeel Saab, which is yet to be released. The Tamil remake saw Ajith Kumar play the lead role while Pawan Kalyan plays the part in the Telugu remake.
There have been reports about Kapoor remaking the Malayalam film Helen (2019) with his daughter Janhvi Kapoor but there hasn’t been any official confirmation from him yet.
