Film on notorious criminal Cyanide Mohan announced, Priyamani to play key role  


Actor Yashpal Sharma will play Priyamani's role it the Hindi version of the film.

Actress Priyamani is all set to join hands with filmmaker Rajesh Touchriver for upcoming pan-Indian project Cyanide, based on the life of notorious serial killer Cyanide Mohan, a physical education teacher in Karnataka who murdered 20 young women.

As per a statement, Priyamani will essay the role of the special investigation officer with an IG rank, who probes the case.

Mohan's modus operandi was to lure young women to hotel rooms across Karnataka, give them emergency contraceptive pills laced with cyanide and flee with gold ornaments.

NRI businessman Pradeep Narayanan is producing Cyanide under the banner of Middle East Cinema Pvt Ltd.

The movie will be shot in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada at the same time, and actors from these respective film industries will be part of the grand project. Come January, shooting will commence in Mangaluru, and the film's locations will include Hyderabad, Goa, Madikeri, Kodagu and Kasaragod.

A cast comprising Rohini, Chittaranjan Giri, Tanikella Bharani, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Shiju, Shaju, Sriman, Mukundan, Sameer and Sanju Sivram, Riju Bajaj and Rimju will feature in the project. Actor Yashpal Sharma will play Priyamani's role it the Hindi version of the film.
