Suttabaazi poster 2: Komal Chhabria, Renee Sen team up during the lockdown

The second poster of the upcoming short film Suttabaazi shows actresses Komal Chhabria and Renee Sen teaming up. Set during the lockdown, Suttabaazi is the heart-warming tale of a family forced to spend time together that struggles to remain sane.

Directed by Kabeer Khurana, Suttabaazi features the acting debut of Renee, daughter of actress Sushmita Sen, and also stars Chhabria and Rahul Vohra as her parents. According to the makers, the film focuses in on “a time where everyone has to deal with themselves, and others all at once”.

Khurana, who has written the film along with Kanishk Devgan, recently directed another short film Hangout, which is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The short film is also out on Amazon Prime in the US and UK.

Suttabaazi, which deals extensively with women empowerment, is also a commentary on the different ideals to which two separate generations adhere.

Backed by Exposition Pictures, the film’s trailer is due to be released on 19 November. The film is expected to have a digital release.
