The song 'Meri Tum Ho' from Anurag Basu's Ludo follows the pattern set by the previously released songs, 'Aabaad Barbaad' and 'Hardum Humdum', giving equal space to each of the narrative's four sub-plots, which intersect at some point.
The latest track features Abhishek Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rajkummar Rao Rohit Saraf, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra, Pearle Maaney and Inayat Verma.
In the song we see Bachchan, who plays the role of a bumbling kidnapper, taking a little girl (Verma) to a fair while he makes her sit on his shoulders. Bachchan plays a soft-hearted character with a hard exterior. He initially pretends to be annoyed with the little girl's tantrums but deep inside he enjoys her company. Meanwhile, a love story blossoms between Pankaj Tripathi's character, who is admitted to a hospital, and the nurse who is taking care of him. The song also offers a glimpse of Aditya Roy Kapur as he observes Sanya Malhotra who is practising in a dance class.
The soulful love song is crooned by Jubin Nautiyal and Ash King. Both singers do complete justice to Pritam's beautiful composition. Once again Pritam proves that he is among the best music composers working today when it comes to melodious music. Sandeep Shrivastava and Shloke Lal also deserve praise for their meaningful lyrics.
Ludo is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Basu. The film is set to be premiered on Netflix on November 12.
