Tallukh director Anurag Jha's next film, Teri Diwali Meri Christmas, will soon be released on Amazon Prime Video.
Produced under his own banner, Anurag Jha Creations, the film stars Jha himself and Hema Vaishnave.
Revealing the film’s basic storyline, Jha has claimed that the film was made on a mere budget of Rs75,000. “Teri Diwali Meri Christmas is a fantasy adventure. [It’s] a story of a young girl with seasonal amnesia who encounters a man claiming to be God. Together both of them try to recover her memories, leading to big events. The film is an independent project made in the budget of Rs75,000,” Jha said.
The filmmaker added, “The film is in a different than usual genre it is a magical-adventure with a bit of romance in it. It follows the POV [point of view] of Fiona (Vaishnave) in a search for her lost memories while being assisted by a person claiming to be God.”
The poster of Teri Diwali Meri Christmas indicates that romance plays a big role in the film.
Jha’s earlier film was also released on Amazon Prime Video, on 11 September.
The title Teri Diwali Meri Christmas brings to mind Salman Khan's upcoming film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
