The Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) ended yesterday with a gift for its audience. The festival, in collaboration with one of its partners, MUBI India, is offering all DIFF attendees and friends an exclusive 30-day MUBI membership free. This will enable them to access films on the MUBI India platform for a month.

MUBI is a curated streaming service that is largely aimed at cinephiles. The service has been adding substantially to its library of experimental, independent and award-winning films. The platform adds a new film to its library every day and also organizes retrospectives and spotlights on festivals to engage its cinema-loving audience.

DIFF was organized virtually from 29 October through 4 November this year, but on popular demand the festival was extended till 8 November. The festival issued online passes for the audience to watch a selection of features, shorts and documentaries.

Dharamshala is one of the major film festivals which kicks off festival season in India. Most of the other major festivals in India have either cancelled this year's edition or postponed it in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
