The makers of Kamal Haasan's upcoming film, Vikram, released a teaser of the project on the occasion of the actor's 66th birthday on 7 November 2020.
The clip features the Haasan as the titular character preparing a delicious supper, alongside enough arms and ammunition to start a small-scale war.
The teaser begins with glimpses of a grizzled Haasan preparing dinner for guests. Even as he lays down the banana leaf plates and watches the rice cook, he stocks piles of weapons and ammunition at different vantage points. As the guests arrive, Haasan's Vikram casts a self-aware look at the gathered menagerie of cops, politicians, leaders, businessmen, before breaking the fourth wall and looking into the camera.

Reports suggest that the actor will be playing a cop in the film, which is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International. Kanagaraj is also awaiting the release of another blockbuster, Master, featuring Vijay. The film has been stuck in limbo owing to the COVID-19 lockdown.
Haasan is set to begin work on the production of his film, Indian 2, which will mark his reunion with the director Shankar. The film will also feature Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha and Kajal Aggarwal.
Vikram features music by Anirudh and is expected to be released in 2021.
