After Shivaay (2016), Ajay Devgn is all set to don the director’s hat again in a film titled Mayday. And like the action thriller, the actor will be playing a prominent character. But this time, Amitabh Bachchan will be his co-star, sharing the screen with the younger actor after seven years.

This is the first time that Devgn will be directing Bachchan. Mayday is also produced by the former under his banner Ajay Devgn Ffilms.

An official statement from the film's publicist stated that Mayday will be a “thrilling, absolute edge-of-the-seat human-drama.”

According to the statement, Devgn will be playing the role of a pilot while Bachchan's character is being kept under wraps. The rest of the cast is still being finalized.

Sources said the project will go on floors this December in Hyderabad after Devgn completes his work on Bhuj. Bachchan Senior is currently shooting for KBC (Kaun Banega Crorepati).”

Bachchan and Devgn have acted in various movies such as Major Saab (1998), Hindustan Ki Kasam (1999), Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin (2002), Khakee (2004), Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag (2007) and Satyagraha (2013)
