The video-streaming platform The-Ally, which derives its name from the word ‘Theatrically’, announced on Twitter that it would be streaming the colorized version of Raj Kapoor’s classic film Shree 420 (1955).

Starring Raj Kapoor and Nargis, the film was written by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas and popularized the image of Kapoor playing the tramp, inspired by Charlie Chaplin.
The film was a huge hit and its songs became popular across the world, especially the opening song 'Mera Joota Hai Japani'. Considered one of the classics of Hindi cinema, it continues to have tremendous resonance amongst people across countries.
