After nearly two years on the film festival circuit, Rohena Gera's Sir will finally be released in theatres, on 13 November

Featuring Vivek Gomber and Tillotama Shome, the film is a romantic drama that highlights the class divide that runs through the city of Mumbai. The film was premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2018 and was later shown at the Jagran Indian Film Festival in 2019.

The film has been exhibited at 30 international film festivals, with successful screenings across Europe and America. At the New York Indian Film Festival, the film won the Best Film Award, with Shome winning the Best Actress prize.

Backed by Platoon One Films and PVR Pictures, the film was initially scheduled for a theatrical release on 20 March. The lockdown from March to October ensured that the film's release in India was held up indefinitely.
