After being shut for around seven months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, theatres across India are slowly opening up. This has started a trend where films that have already had a theatrical run such as Omung Kumar B’s PM Narendra Modi (2019) are being re-released.
Now, Dharma Productions has announced the re-release of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017) in theatres across India on 6 and 13 November respectively.
Karan Johar, the head honcho of Dharma Productions, made the announcement on Twitter on Wednesday.
“The magic is set to unravel again! Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, re-releasing soon [sic],” he tweeted.

The blockbuster franchise stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Tamannaah Bhatia.
The story takes place in the fictitious kingdom of Mahishmati where cousins Amarendra Baahubali (Prabhas) and Bhallaladeva (Daggubati) grow up together. Bhallaladeva, hell-bent on ensuring that Amarendra doesn’t inherit the throne, gets him killed. Years later, Amarendra’s son Mahendra, also played by Prabhas, avenges his father’s death and seeks to acquire the throne of Mahishmati.
