The poster features an image of what looks like a device’s screen on which we can see the picture of a frightened young woman. The poster has the words ‘Some strong violence and bloody images’ written on it.
Vazhiye is the first Malayalam film to be shot in ‘found footage’ form. It stars newcomers Jeffin Joseph, Aswathi Anil Kumar, Varun Ravindran, Addina, Joji Tomy, Shyam Salash and Rajan.
Hollywood music composer Evan Evans has composed the score for the film.
Sharing Vazhiye’s plot, a statement from the makers said, 'This film narrates the story of two YouTube vloggers who decide to make a documentary film about a mystery land where they confront perilous, nightmarish situations.'
Varghese is currently adapting his own documentary Thariode into a feature film titled Thariode: The Lost City. It stars international artistes like Bill Hutchens, Luing Andrews, Alexx O’Nell, Courtney Sanello, Amelie Leroy, Brendan Byrne and Roger Ward.
