Zee5 on Wednesday announced that its upcoming web-series Zidd will be premiered on 22 January 2021. The announcement was made along with a new poster featuring the series' leading man Amit Sadh.

The poster shows a focused Sadh in complete military gear, and just below him, there is a figure of a person sitting in a wheelchair. Going by the poster, it seems the series will also explore the effects of war on an army officer's personal life and how he overcomes hurdles.

It is said that Zidd has been inspired by the life of Kargil war hero Major Deependra Singh Sengar. The series will be filled with gritty action sequences and army missions.

Zidd also stars  Amrita Puri and Sushant Singh. The series will be directed by newcomer Vishal Mangalorkar. Zidd has been produced by Boney Kapoor's production house and co-produced by Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla.

On the acting front, Sadh has been having a dream year. Amid the lockdown, he was seen in the Vidya Balan-starrer Shakuntala Devi. This year, he was seen in two Zee5 original films, Operation Parindey and Yaara. He also appeared in a web-series on SonyLIV called Avrodh - The Siege Within. Sadh also reprised the role of Inspector Kabir Sawant in Breathe's sequel Breathe Into the Shadows.
