Films Division to screen four documentaries to commemorate 71st Constitution Day


The documentaries will be available on the Films Division website and YouTube channel tomorrow for 24 hours.

The Films Division of the Union information and broadcasting ministry has announced the screening of four documentary films to commemorate the country's 71st Constitution Day on 26 November 2020.

The films look at the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Union of India on 26 November 1949, its salient features, and Dr BR Ambedkar, chairman of the committee set up to draft the Constitution.

Our Constitution (1950) speaks about the various clauses of the country's Constitution, The Preamble (1973) is an animation film on the preamble to the Constitution, We The People Of India (1986) traces the framing of the Constitution, and Babasaheb Ambedkar (1991) is a biographical film on the chief architect of the Constitution.

The documentaries, all of them in English, will be available for 24 hours on the Films Division website and on its YouTube channel tomorrow.
