Priyanka Chopra Jonas turns evil in Robert Rodriguez's upcoming We Can Be Heroes teaser 

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has shared a new teaser of her upcoming film with Robert Rodriguez, We Can Be Heroes. Featuring Pedro Pascal, Christian Slater, Boyd Holbrook, and child actor YaYa Gosselin, the film is a spinoff of Rodriguez's film Sharkboy and Lava Girl (2005). The film is set to be released on Netflix on New Year's Day. 

The teaser sees a new generation of heroes preparing to hone their talents to battle evil. As these precocious kids try to find their own skills, it is Chopra Jonas who plays their antagonist. 

Filled with special effects, the film is reminiscent of Rodriguez's child-friendly films such as the Spy Kids series.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, the actress wrote, "I had the best time shooting this movie, especially with Robert Rodriguez and these amazing super kids!! Loved playing their nemesis.... who do you think is going to win, them or me?! Streaming on Netflix New Years Day [sic].

The actress was, till recently, filming for the reboot of the Matrix, alongside Keanu Reeves, Carrie Ann-Moss, and Jada Pinkett Smith. The actress had previously starred in the series Quantico and later in American films such as Baywatch (2017) and Isn't It Romantic? (2019)
