Producer Nikhil Dwivedi who recently made a big acting comeback in Hansal Mehta’s acclaimed web-series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 41-year-old confirmed the news to ETimes, an entertainment news portal, on Thursday. Dwivedi said he underwent the test as a precautionary measure after experiencing loss of taste but was found positive for COVID-19. Saying he was asymptomatic, Dwivedi said that he was taking proper rest. He has quarantined himself at home. On the other hand, his wife Gouri is fine and has tested negative.
Dwivedi, who has produced films such as Veere Di Wedding (2018) and Dabangg 3 (2019), recently announced the Nagin trilogy based on Indian folklore. The trilogy will be helmed by Lapachhapi (2017) director Vishal Furia and will star Shraddha Kapoor in the titular role.
