Lahore Confidential teaser: Richa Chadha is caught between love and war

The latest instalment of Zee5’s spy series moves from London to Lahore. In the first teaser of Lahore Confidential (2020), directed by Kunal Kohli, the main players of this feature are introduced.

Actress Richa Chadha is poetry lover Ananya, a RAW agent, who is caught between love and duty. Karishma Tanna plays her colleague who advises her to keep alert, especially as a spy who has to put her country over everything, while Arunoday Singh is her love interest, who may turn out to be an ISI agent.

The story is set in Islamabad, Pakistan, and likely features Ananya figuring out whom to trust in the film. Lahore Confidential is a change of pace from London Confidential (2020) which featured Purab Kohli and Mouni Roy chasing down a mole within their agency while hunting down a deadly virus which would wreak havoc if released in the public.

The action seems to have slowed down, and while the stakes are still high, the film looks to be more focused on Chadha’s character.
