The team of Satyameva Jayate, starring John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar, has been in Lucknow for a while now to shoot the film. But recently a report in the media said the shoot had been stalled after a member of the team tested positive for COVID-19.

The report said this was why Nikkhil Advani, one of the film's producers, underwent a COVID-19 test and quarantined himself because he had visited the sets in Lucknow for a couple of days.

The report also claimed that the team was shooting without John Abraham who had a commitment in Mumbai for three days.

However, director Milap Zaveri denied all these claims. In reply to a text message from Cinestaan.com, he said, “I’m on set shooting right now. Day before and today morning also I posted pictures from the sets on Instagram.”

Zaveri has shared a few pictures from the film’s set in Lucknow in the past few days on Instagram. The recent pictures don’t feature John.

Satyameva Jayate 2 is a follow-up to Satyameva Jayate (2018), but will not carry the story from the first film forward since the lead character in that film, played by John, dies in the end. The first film starred Aisha Sharma opposite John.
