Filmmaker Nagraj Manjule plays a postman who is weighed down by the guilt of being the bearer of bad news in Pankaj Sonawane's short film Taar (2020).
The first teaser for the short film shows Manjule delivering telegrams from the Indian army to the families of four soldiers killed in the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

Taar has been produced by Illusion Ethereal Studios and Sandeep Patil. It is being presented by Riteish Deshmukh's production house Mumbai Film Company.
