The Kakababur Protyaborton teaser is filled with glimpses of exotic locations in Africa. Featuring Prosenjit Chatterjee as the titular detective Kakababu and Aryann Bhowmick as his sidekick and nephew Shontu, Srijit Mukherji’s upcoming film is the third instalment of his Kakababu series.

In the teaser, Kakababu reminds Shontu of their previous adventures in the desert and Gorakshep Plateau, referring to the films Mishawr Rohoshyo (2013) and Yeti Obhijaan (2017).

This time the duo respond to the call of the tropical jungles in Africa. As Kakababu lands in a private plane, we see him venturing into tall grasslands, habitated by elephants, lions, cheetahs and zebras, along with Shontu.

The teaser doesn’t hint at the storyline, which is based on Sunil Ganguly’s Jongoler Moddhe Ek Hotel. However, there are ample suggestions of the duo’s run-ins with the natives as well as with the ferocious wildlife.

The teaser also makes it apparent that the setting, which is totally different from the preceding films' locales, is one the primary reasons behind the director choosing this particular story.

Kakababur Protyaborton is slated to be released this Christmas.

Check out the teaser and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
