Cinema halls have recently been reopened in India after they were shut earlier this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even after theatres have started functioning again, there is naturally some hesitancy among the people to go out and see movies since the coronavirus is still prevalent.

So, in order to encourage people, Aamir Khan ventured out with daughter Ira to see the first Hindi film that was released after theatres reopened, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, in a PVR outlet in Mumbai. The video of his experience was shared by veteran trade analyst and journalist Komal Nahta.

Sharing his experience of the visit, Khan said, “I am very excited to have visited a theatre to watch a film on the big screen after so long. In the lockdown we were watching films on a laptop. So, I am really looking forward to the big screen experience.”

Speaking about the film, he added, “I have also heard praises for this film Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. The performances of Diljit [Dosanjh] and Manoj [Bajpayee] are being praised. All the very best to the entire team and to PVR and other theatres which have opened up.”
