Nikhil Mahajan wraps up shooting for his upcoming film Godavari

Filmmaker Nikhil Mahajan has finally wrapped up shooting for his third Marathi venture Godavari. The film which went on the floors last month stars Priyadarshan Jadhav, Gauri Nalawade, Neena Kulkarni, Sakhi Gokhale, Siddharth Menon and Sanjay Mone. 

Sharing a picture of the film's clapboard on Instagram, Mahajan wrote  "They say when you’re happy, time flies. We wrapped the principal photography on my third feature ‘Godavari’. Extremely grateful to my entire team that worked tirelessly to make this dream come to shape. I can’t wait for you all to take a dip in this river [sic]."

Godavari marks Mahajan's return to Marathi cinema after Baji (2015), a vigilante superhero film starring Jitendra Joshi, Shreyas Talpade and Amruta Khanvilkar.

The film also marks Jitendra Joshi's foray into film production as this is the first project that is receiving the backing of his production Jitendra Joshi Pictures.

The makers are yet to reveal details about the film's plot and theme.
