Cinephiles will be able to pre-order cinematographer and director Rajen Kothari's acclaimed last film, Das-Capital, ahead of its official release date, 20 November, on the OTT platform Cinemapreneur.
The decision was taken in order to allow fans to pay homage to the late director on the occasion of his birth anniversary on 15 November. Kothari passed away on 26 September 2012.
The film tells the story of a lowly government Purushottam Ram (Yashpal Sharma), an accountant in a government office in Bihar, who is caught in a web of corruption. The film features an eclectic cast, including the late Asif Basra.
Co-directed by Dayal Nihalani, the film was completed in 2012 but was stuck in limbo for a long time.
Das-Capital bagged the Best Actor (Male and Female) Awards at the Jagran Film Festival 2012.
The film will be part of the platform's growing library of independent Indian films. It can be pre-booked at a cost of Rs129.
