Aditya Roy Kapur to star in Kapil Verma's Om: The Battle Within

Actor Aditya Roy Kapur is celebrating his birthday with the announcement of his new film, Om: The Battle Within (2021). Directed by Kapil Verma, the film is backed by Zee Studios, Ahmed Khan and Shaira Khan. 

The announcement was made on Monday morning by Ahmed Khan on social media.

The film will mark the directorial debut of Verma, son of action director Tinu Verma. The project was reportedly conceptualized during the lockdown. 

Aditya Roy Kapur will regain muscle to prepare for his role in the action-oriented drama. The actor last beefed up for the thriller Malang (2020).

Speaking with the Mumbai Mirror newspaper, the actor said, "Last year around this time I was juggling between the shoots of Malang and Ludo (2020). Both films received a lot of appreciation. COVID notwithstanding, this year has been a special one on the work front. I have been living with Om for the last few months and look forward to the journey."

Om: The Battle Within is expected to go on the floors early next month. The rest of the cast has not yet been announced.
