Eros Now to premiere heartwarming Marathi sports drama Gotya

The film, helmed by Bhagwan Pachore and starring Sayaji Shinde, Rajesh Shringarpure and Surekha Kudchi, is being released on the platform today.

Eros Now is set to begin streaming the heartwarming Marathi sports drama Gotya (2018). The film is helmed by actor-turned-director Bhagwan Vasantrao Pachore, who has also written the screenplay and dialogues.

The film, which was released two years ago, is the story of a prodigy Gotya (Rushikesh Wankhede) who is drawn to the game of marbles and participates in several competitions, winning the state and national championships. He is helped by a coach played by Rajesh Shringarpure.

When Gotya participates in the International Marbles Championship, he finds himself in certain situations that could become obstacles to winning the title.

Commenting on the film's premiere on Eros Now, chief content officer Ridhima Lulla said, “Eros Now has always presented unique content to viewers. Gotya is a slice-of-life story of a budding sportsperson who strives for success and is supported by his close friends and family. The narrative is heartwarming and this one-of-a-kind sports drama will be liked by viewers of all age groups.”

Along with Shringarpure, the sports drama stars Sayaji Shinde, Surekha Kudchi and Anand Ingle.

Veteran actor Shinde said viewers are certain to enjoy the film. “It was a lovely experience to be a part of Gotya," he said. "The storyline is likeable and exciting! I am sure viewers will have a memorable time watching this film. The narrative has a unique innocence and liveliness to it which will impress cinema lovers.”
