Aayush Sharma, Salman Khan to start shooting for Hindi remake of Mulshi Pattern

Titled Antim, the remake will be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.

At the end of 2018, Salman Khan had announced a Hindi remake of the acclaimed Marathi movie Mulshi Pattern (2018). Written and directed by Pravin Tarde, the film starred Om Bhutkar as the son of a farmer, who is compelled to join the underworld.

As per an official press release shared by the makers, the Hindi remake is now finally all set to go on floors after Diwali on 15 November. The film is now called Antim. It was earlier titled Guns of North. Mahesh Manjrekar will be the director this time. Interestingly, he had played the supporting character of a labourer in the original.

The original film saw Upendra Limaye play the protagonist’s nemesis as a no-nonsense cop. Antim will see Salman Khan essay that role. The actor is known for his iconic cop character Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg (2010).

The makers have also said that Sharma has been training for some time with action choreographer Vikram Dahiya, who has previously worked in Saaho (2019). “Aayush plays a gangster in the film and has been training for the past two months to attain a rugged physique. Since he is ready physically, the makers have decided to wrap up the action scenes first before moving to Karjat to shoot the remaining portions,” said an official statement from a person from the film’s unit.

We have been told that Sharma will perform all action scenes himself. “Vikram is expected to train Aayush over the next few days before he faces the camera on November 15. To maintain authenticity, the actor will perform all action sequences without the aid of a body double,” said the person from the unit.

Khan will shoot his parts after the current season of his television show Bigg Boss ends.
