Pritam and Arijit Singh present the lockdown version of ‘Shayad’ from Love Aaj Kal 

The lockdown has seen celebrities indulge in a lot of creative activities from their homes. People related to the field of music have obviously grabbed the opportunity to create and present their work. Music composer Pritam and singer Arijit Singh recently took part in the ‘I For India’ online concert, which saw many celebrities participating from the comfort of their homes.  

The composer-singer duo presented a lockdown version of their popular song, ‘Shayad’ from the recently-released Love Aaj Kal (2020), which starred Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan. 

The lockdown version of the song is more like an unplugged version. It has additional lyrics and some words have been changed in the middle. Unlike the original, this one is also sung by Pritam, the composer. An impressive co-ordination between the two of them is clearly visible [and audible]. 

Singh is considered the go-to singer when it comes to these deeply, emotional songs. He doesn’t disappoint here as well. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Love Aaj Kal (2020) also has the singer singing a fast dance number in the form of ‘Haan Main Galat.’ Pritam provides ideal support to him. 

These reasons are enough for the lockdown version to sound a little better than the original used in the film, especially after hearing it repeatedly.
