Money Heist director picks Vijay, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh for Indian version of show

Alex Rodrigo, the director of Netflix’s widely popular show, Money Heist, has revealed in an interview that if an Indian version of the show is ever made, he would love to cast actors Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan in it.
In his interview to popular entertainment portal Behindwoods, Rodrigo revealed that he would like to see Tamil actor Vijay as the Professor and Khan as Berlin. He further added that he would like to see Ajith play the character of Bogota. Rodrigo also picked Ranveer Singh and Mahesh Babu for the roles of Denver and Tamayo respectively, and Suriya as Suarez.
Talking about his choice to pick Vijay, the Money Heist director said that he looks intelligent, just like the character. On picking Khan, he said the actor looks as handsome as Berlin.
In his interview, Rodrigo also spoke about the amazing response the show has received in India. He is thrilled that more people have become addicted to the show due to the lockdown.
Money Heist is a Spanish crime television drama. The show follows two long-prepared heists led by the Professor, played by Alvaro Morte.
Meanwhile, Vijay’s fans are thrilled that the director chose their matinee idol as the top contender to play the lead character if the show is ever made in India. They’ve been trending the report on social media and it has gone viral since the interview was published.
Vijay is currently awaiting the release of his forthcoming Tamil film, Master (2020), which has been postponed due to the lockdown. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan, among others.
