Producer Bhushan Kumar is set to line up a few more sequels once the lockdown lifts. The producer has confirmed that talks are on for sequels to Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) and De De Pyaar De (2019).
Speaking to the Mumbai Mirror newspaper, Kumar said, "We are definitely doing Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety 2, it is a great franchise to take forward." The film, featuring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, and Sunny Singh, went on to become a surprise hit of 2018 and one of the year's highest grossers.
The announcement follows Kumar's recent statements about working on franchises for Aashiqui 2 (2013) and Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin (1991). The producer had a slate of films set for release in 2020 before the lockdown hit the industry.

The other film that the producer is planning to turn into a franchise is Akiv Ali's De De Pyaar De (2019). The film, featuring Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and Tabu, earned more than Rs90 crore in its run at the box office. Speaking about the film, Kumar said, "Yes, Luv Ranjan and I have a sequel in mind for De De Pyaar De."
