Actress Raashi Khanna has confirmed, through a conversation on Twitter, that one of her upcoming Tamil projects, to be directed by Hari, will be opposite actor Suriya. Titled Aruvaa, the project will see Suriya and Hari collaborating for the sixth time.
In reply to a question about her upcoming project, Raashi said: “Aranmanai 3 and a film with Suriya under Hari sir’s direction in Tamil. Will give more clarity about two projects in Telugu that are under discussion once the lockdown is over.”

Aruvaa will mark the maiden collaboration of Raashi with Suriya. In March, it was announced that the film would go on the floors from April and hit the screens during Diwali this year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project, produced by Studio Green, has yet to taken off. The rest of the cast and crew will be finalised soon. But D Imman has been roped in to compose the music.
It’s worth mentioning that Suriya had confirmed last year that he has projects with Singam franchise director Hari and 24 (2016) director Vikram K Kumar, in the pipeline. Apart from the Singam series, Suriya and Hari have worked together in Aaru (2005) and Vel (2007).
Meanwhile, Suriya is currently awaiting the release of Tamil film, Soorarai Pottru (2020), which has been directed by Sudha Kongara. A biopic on Captain GR Gopinath – founder of Air Deccan, the film, which is co-produced by Guneet Monga, marks Suriya’s maiden collaboration with a female director. If everything goes as planned, the movie will hit the screens later this year.
Suriya also has a project with director Vetrimaaran, which will go on the floors later this year.
